Plane Guide for Modded planes - Messer - 17.07.2009

Over the past year the modders have given us a lot of excellent planes. While some, such as the new 109's , FW 190s and Spitfires are after all developments of existing aircraft in the sim (I'm talking in historical context, not modding), quite a few new and less familliar planes have been added, such as the Cant Z.1007 and PZL-24.

Sadly, finding detailed literature for those types isn't always easy, and sometimes it is very expensive. This makes piloting some of the newer planes, especially on longer missions (and if you have switched HUD messages off) a bit tedious. I don't want to insult the modders' work, as they make excellent contributions, but it would be very nice if a short guide can be provided for the new planes, be it as seperate for each one or as a full "mod volume".

I'm not asking for a detailed technical manual, just some short tips for the new planes - cruise RPM, economic RPM, best cruising speed, landing/takeoff speed , does it have automatic flaps/radiator, notes for any special loadout options (such as the X-4 missiles) and maybe just a basic piloting tips (for example, if the plane has a tendency harsh stalling at high speed). This would be needed only for the completely new planes, not new 109Gs for example.

Maybe a small screenshot with a guide for the instrument panels - I can handle the Italian planes, for example, but Japanese dials are a bit too much for me if I don't know what to look at.

Thanks. I hope the modders don't take this as a form of underappreciation, I simply believe this would help pilots to master the newer planes.

+1!
It is some renewal of AircraftGuide.pdf, as I understand.
I support also the renewal of HarBall408 pgm.
These tasks would be greatly appreciated by the community, I suppose.
Perhaps it would became a part of any new A/C added?

Print out your air.ini file from root/MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects

My installation currently has 364 aircraft types, including variants, but I don't have them all installed.
