This is a great idea. Paulo, can you post your game and nVIDIA settings as well; they will have considerable impact on the fps and the driver used.

Ths Paulo - stefano - 18.07.2009

Health Paulo, excellent work, public setting sends the settings on the Nvidia site, or maybe on another link, I am owner of a GeForce 8800GT, and I have always had difficulty in setting the correct parameters to run IL2 Sturmovik.
Through hard work made available to the community hello Wink

TexQual=3.......normal Textures
TexMipFilter=3.........anisotropic (best quality, slow)
TexCompress=2.....S3TC compression, best performance at slightly lower texture quality......0 = no compression (best quality)
The TexCompress at 2 works well for you?????

How are your frame rates when you are low and draw near to a city and hit the woods and rural areas before the main city. I have noticed then the threshold between open terrain and the rural outskirts gets a huge fps hit (17fps). Once I'm in the city they come up to (30-40 fps) and them finally back up to 60fps. I have found the 4-09-09 dlls work the best on my setup, good overall fps, smooth TIR, not shoreline ghosting effects (ant trails) and the weapon effects fps in minimal.
