Is there a tracer mod that gets rid of the trailing bullet smoke?

If you have this " vas_Gray_curving_Smoketrail " in your mods folder just put a minus in front and behind the title text and this will disable it in the game.

So what do I do?
I create a new file and in that file I write that?
What do I name the file?

look in your MODS folder for a folder named vas_Gray_curving_Smoketrail
when you find it right click on the folder and rename the folder to > -vas_Gray_curving_Smoketrail
by putting a - minus sign in front of the name the game will not read that folder and this will disable that folder (or mod).

No but I bet you have this one Gray_curving_Smoketrail do the same thing to it add the minus sign to the front and the end of it.

I just looked in my MODS folder and it is just simply Gray_curving_Smoketrail
I just put the minus sign in front of the name and the game doesn't read the folder,this is new to me putting a minus sign at the end of the name also.

You have some type of gun smoke trail folder, insided your mods folder, find it an put a minus sign in front of it .

Guys.... he is asking to get rid of the smokes completely.. not just the curving trail... but COMPLETELY!
And yes there is a way to do that. You'd have to get the "curving smoke-trail" mod they all keep talking about, and open the TGA file and make it just pure transparecy, then save it back in correct format... I'm afraid you'll need a better explanation though... Maybe someone here can show you how? (I'm really deep into #### right now :lol: So I can't help you any more than this)

right from the first IL2 Demo there was bullet smoke trails,something that was actually unique to IL2 at the time.Why you would want to eliminate this completely is beyond me...
"curving" smoke trails is a mod, and there are a few different versions now of it

Yes I know how to edit it with GIMP but when I save it thers an error[I tried changing the tracers]
