[REQUEST]Please involve a newbie into a Mod development AtoZ - mavyalex - 20.07.2009

Hello,

If someone could involve me in a mod developement event a light one to learn and then to do my own, I would appreciate.

I started a few months ago learning how to model planes in 3DS Max 9 but I gave up because I realized I wanted to focus more on enhancing existing aircraft (new weapons, special effects, other).

I believe we have enough planes in IL-2 1946 , but that's my personal opinion.

As I said earlier I don't know how to code or just scripts and html. However I can learn fast...

For example I would love to add new sounds or ambient sounds (so missing in this game such as real thunderstorms or wind sound, etc...)

Let's focus on everything not related to planes too such as the landscape, the natural world (animals?blizzard, etc?)...

What do you mean "have been bitten in the *ss but ungrateful newbies?" Do you mean that they stole their technology/mod?

I'm not that kind of person. I know that serious modders have deadlines..This is really becoming a real business, isn't it?
I hope we won't have to pay for IL-2 1946 mods one day...I know it's tempting to do for anybody who has specialized or rare "savoir-faire" (knowledge is power, don't forget)...

Still I find it hard to be involved with modders...As a matter of fact I already posted requests during the last 8 months but nobody really stepped front and took me in..It was rather "Learn on your own, little kid..."

Well that's a bit sad...Sharing ,that's what communities are there for,no? (I said sharing, not stealing...)

And I wouldn't take modders time either: we could communicate by e-mail and I could work at night....

You have to understand me: I see great mods coming out almost everyday since the last 9 months and I know I could make one too, even a small one...but I just don't know how to proceed.
