TIP: attaching a camera to a ship ...maybe for filmmakers? - Guest - 22.07.2009

hi gents
this was something i stumbled upon a long time back, and thought i'd share it, maybe it can be used by film-makers, etc.
It's basically a 'cheat' to attach a camera to a moving ship - any ship.
All you have to do is fly your plane into the ship you want to have the camera on. It's that simple. Once your plane explodes, you will now have a static camera 'attached' to the ship.
The only thing to take into account, is the damage you might do to the ship. If you don't want the ship to have visible damage, just make sure you fly into one of the masts, or even the cables between masts. This way, your AC will be destroyed, and the camera will now be attached to the ship without it showing damage.
The only other thing to take into account is that you cannot cycle through cameras/planes from that point on, as you won't be able to return to this 'camera'
If this is old hat to some, as i expect, sorry. I just thought there's plenty newcomers to IL2 who might appreciate the info...
