[VIDEO] WWII 'flying pencil' with Finnish Air Force - HolyGrail - 24.07.2009
Hello ,
another small piece of historic footage from Finnish Air Combat Action
S! HG

Thank you HG! You must be working at some kind of an archive, right? By the way, does anyone know what year this footage is from?

TY4 this. Never seen this before!! Dornier was used in FAF from 1942 mainly for nigh bombing missions and against "living targets", because it was already out of time. And enemy planes were Tzaikas, so i quess that it was filmed between spring 1942 and autumn 1943.

Thx!
Nice to see the Do 17 in Action.
I think its from 1942 (have seen this before with a Date, but i dont know where).

If it is 1942, then what is the biplane (I-15?) doing there? Or is that just archival footage?

They flew their first Mission in 1942, and in the Winter War they had only Blenheims, as far as i know.
