HL is pointing to 4.09 - switcher is not working (Win 7) - rbuchner - 28.07.2009
Hi,
Hyperlobby install is very tricky on this OS, so I had to manually point HL to il2fb.exe on my program folder.
So everytime I try to connect to a server, 4.08 or 4.09, it always launch IL2 4.09, no matter which version I activate on switcher.
I believe its a matter of pointing the shortcut to the correct file , but Im not sure if I used the correct .exe file.
Does anyone had this problem before? I believe Vista has the same issues...

hey, did u "run as administrator" the version switcher?
If u didn't then try that.

EDIT: NEVERMIND... I just right-clicked and saw the "run as admin" option.
Is there a way you can set this in preferences, so I dont have to right-click and select "run as admin" everytime I want to switch veriosns?
I mean, I found this option on properties (also on the right click menu), but its greyed out... So I turned off UAC, and came back on properties over the .exe file, but still, is greyed out...

But now, everything is running as administrator!
All I did was changing my call sign inside IL-2 and everything went mad!
First everything showed up written in russian, but this fixed by itself, them no switchers are working...
I tried to make a system restore, but the restore isnt working!
Help!
