No one ever really knew why he bailed out. They searched the Channel but found no sign of him or his plane.

Excellent idea for a screenie, but the nit-picker in me notices that the pilot isn't in any slipstream whatsoever. Nice work though.

sick artwork =P
but i think he bailed because he came to his sences and that if he didn't bail, the brittish woulnt have won...or he was just asleep

Why is he bailing out? Prop is turning and plane is flying. Maybe there should be a smoke trail and some fire. Otherwise nice concept.

It's well done Gumpy, but it begs the question: Why did he bail? There is no damage to the aircraft to suggest that a bailout was necessary.

He just loves his Messerschmitt doesn't he?

He bailed out because he was shot down by Hugh Dundas, he bailed out and his wingman saw his chute but Wick drowned in the channel, he was never found.
Great pic though, I did a bail out scene my self, I know how hard they can be.
His rudder looked a little different on the day he was killed however, it had the 54 kill marks but was full yellow, not your fault though.

He looks so cool for a man bailing out without a parachute...
