FAILURE's smoke and fire Vs. HG & P Ultimate 3D smoke Mo - terminator363 - 05.08.2009

I have tried both these great (and probably best) smoke MODS but I'm not sure which one is better

So this calls for a fun vote:

the first isnt really a full mod, just two effects, I downloaded it from here:

imho HG&P's smoke n fire mod is the one where you didnt get single smoke puffs in a spiral pattern when your aircraft is in a spin so I went for that one, changed the transparency of the effects though.

Fly's smoke is the best for me. For all the advantages of the HG&P effects, the smoke is very uniform, in a straight line. Still great though.

Oh, small note: If you use fly's mod, disable the 'no debris' files, and use vpmedia's debris mod instead. (in which you have limited and realistic looking debris).

I use Fly's mod too. I find it the most realistic. Thankyou Fly.
Maybe Fly's mod should be added to the poll.

I am going to install VP's Debris mod but I need to know, do I disable only the file "nodebris.tga" in Fly's mod or do I disable the 4 debris mat files too?

Does a "-" in front of the file name disable it like with folders?

Are we having fun yet ? :lol:
now , install our " 00_AircraftGroundAdditionalEffects_ATI_Nvidia_July10_2009 " mod
and look at the atomic explosion again , you will get different fireball .
Mushroom color will be the same as it is in your screenshot because we never ever saw dark brown color atomic blast .
Oleg's original mushroom color is much closer to the reality and we didn't touch it , it should be even more
in to whitish color to represent reality and not drak brown color . Big Grin
Just watched a minute ago again real color film documentary which shows the blast color in great detail , at one point
minutes after innitial blast , there is only very much huge white mushroom .

HG & P's smoke mod: imho, to do it justice, you need to see the smoke from damage, it's awesome (if a bit heavy on the comp). Although from those screens, i'd say that the fire in HG+P's mod beats failure's. But that's just me.

Uh... I have a lot of effects MODs (Explosion light, tons of little smoke MODS, and etc.) Will this mess up any of the old goodies Big Grin
