A few photos from the New Engand Air Museum.

The Sikorsky VS-44 and the Gee Bee. Two of the planes I would love too see fly (in this sim).
Is that an old Airship gondola in the 13th picture?
- woofiedog - 17.08.2009
Yes it's a gondola from a Goodyear Blimp that was made for convoy and antisub duty during WWII.

You're right, they were all scrapped.
The flying boat in the museum is a Sikorsky VS-44. A one off protoype bird from Sikorsky.

Where is this located in new england?
- chas1963 - 17.08.2009
Its a great little museum....its just down route 91 from me and I try and go every excuse I have. I just went to the Dayton Air museum and the Bradley museum has a few warbirds that Dayton doesn't ( the airforce museum has NO Navy planes) like the F4U and F6F...it looks like most of your pictures are from the civilian wing.

Its close to Bradley airport...you will see signs on 91 near the exit.

The museum is just off Rt.91 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut and very easy to get to.
http://www.neam.org/ It is not a large museum but it's very well keep and maintained... a great place to visit if you find your way into the New England area.
Glad you enjoyed the photos... I took them a little more than year ago on a visit there. My biggest problem was not having enough space & cards for my camera. Any way here are a few more... by the way the aircraft in the fifth photo from the bottom in the first post is also a Gee Bee Model A made by the Grandville brother's here in Springfield Massachusetts.
