Pocket PC - Russ_Ace - 18.08.2009

I know this aint related to IL-2 but its computer related (Kinda). My Opa gave my dad a Pocket PC and it didnt work, he said " if u can get it to work u can have it." whel my dad dint get it to work and he said the same thing to me. So i have it now.

The pcket pc dont respond to any button , but when i put the usb in to a computer it says at the top of the pocket pc screen USB, and at the bottom V 1.4, and gose away when i take it out safely. Can some 1 help plz?

Thx for reading.

Hmm... What model is it? What's it's manufacturer? Is there a reset button somewhere? Can you take the battery out safely?

have you try to reboot it.......try a reinstalation of vista

Hello,

Because we are talking about PocketPc I have a question about my own "Pocket Pc" :-) an Asus EEE PC 900 with Windows XP...
Itw arms up so much that I can't really type on its keyboard (it's like being burned). Is this normal? And the default battery life (a 44000 mAh) is quite short....Why does it warm up so fast and so much and is there a way to lenghten the battery duration? (so that it doesn't discharge so quickly and last longer)?

Actually pocket pc means a machine like this:

- KG64_Cnopicilin - 19.08.2009

Yes, yes just for waffen, I have never seen pocket PC with vista...

since i didnt buy it or have the box. I cant be 100% shure. it says verizon, pocket pc, disigned for windows mobile.

i dont know wat model it is, it has camera, phone and internet in it. might have touchscreen idk i never got it workin. and i can take the battery out safely.

Von Waffen how would i reboot it? It has a reset button but looks like its missing ( cant see it, just a hole)

last thing: my looks simular to the picture but has buttons where the IPaq symble is witch have the windows symble, the email symble, the internet symble and a ok symble. and at the top insted of HP it says verizon and has wat looks like a postcard and the on button is on top, and therres a calender button where the on button in the pic is.

( i would put up a pic but my sis stole my Ecspencive camera and left it at her friends house who she hates now.)

That hole is the reset button - RNBeavis - 19.08.2009

You need to stick a pin in there to press it. It's hidden away like that so it doesn't get pushed by accident. Hope that helps :-)

EDIT: Sounds like this http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/for ... dId=218724
and this http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums/ip ... -boot.html

You may have to do that 'hard reset' thing. Don't ask me how to do that on your one, but good luck with it, mate.

- KG64_Cnopicilin - 19.08.2009

In my pocket pc the hard reset is a slider what you'll have to move left and right, and I have other reset button what is operated by pin or pen. Try press the bottom of the hole. It should be the reset button like RNBeavis said.
