Il2VersionSwitcher.exe:English files.SFS for all 6 versions? - Essobie - 19.08.2009

After installing the Unified 1.1 installer and using the Il2VersionSwitcher.exe app to switch between all of the different modded and unmodded versions, I noticed that all but the original 4.08m Standard versions of the game have Russian text in the Pilot Career game mode. Through searching around on this and some other places (and doing a bit of trouble shooting on my own) I figured out that the file causing this change is "files.SFS" which gets swapped out using the Il2VersionSwitcher.exe application.

I was able to get the English 4.09 file.SFS file from just downloading the actual patch, but I can't find the modded 4.08 and 4.09 (nor the 6DOF versions of each) of this file anywhere... at least after doing the more obvious searching on google and various forums.

Anyone know where to get these?

I can always play the Pilot Career with the Standard versions, but I'd much rather get to use 6DOF with my new TrackIR5 while doing so.

During all this searching, did you happen to run across the English Career Language Fix?

Might fix your problem.

Yeah, I did see that.

Given that 1) all I installed was the Unified installer (which does not list this "SOUND MOD" as part of the mods included) and 2) this file doesn't include the one file that is creating this issue (files.SFS), I didn't bother trying to install it. I may backup that DGen directory and give it a shot, but I don't think that's what I'm after. Thanks though.

Thanks... Downloading now; hopefully this will do it.
