HELP! load.ini loading errors - Shoestring - 28.08.2009

I had Il2 1946 patched and with the Unified Installer and all was well except when trying perfect mode the ground textures were black. In the last post in this thread here: viewtopic.php?t=18706 I tried the advice to "...into CCC ->3D-> standard tab and set the slider all the way to optimal quality". After doing this when ever I tried to load anything I got messages about there being a landscape...load.ini loading error. I then uinstalled the game and deleted the game folder. Next I reinstalled the game but I'm still getting the same error messages and nothing will load, the game seems seriously borked. Is there any way it can be fixed?

Update: never mind - managed to fix the problem simply by going back to the default settings in CCC. Now to find out how to run in perfect mode...damned ati card.
