[Request] Different Planes in one flight - fpoamaster - 31.08.2009

Would it be possible to have different types of planes in one flight? ex. Flight Lead- P-51D, all others P-51B or Bf-109G-4 as flight lead, all others Bf-109G-2

I hope this is possible would be very cool. As far as I know we can't do it.

Also I have a problem Certificates AI Mod, I have the latest version but when ever an AI controlled plane with landing lights lands it turns it's lights on, even if its high noon!! I know it has to be a compatability issue but I have no idea what it could be. Any help would be great.

with me being a student pilot i know that in the check list "atleast for a c172" in the landing section one of the steps is to turn on the landing light any time day or night

edit: here is the approach checklist

APPROACH CHECK
ALTIMETER & DIRECTIONAL GYRO................QNH & HEADING SET
LANDING LIGHTS ..............................................on
FUEL QUANTITY................................................L/R CHECHED
FUEL SELECTOR VALVE..................................BOTH
MIXTURE............................................................RICH / AS REQUIRED
CARBURETOR HEAT ........................................AS REQUIRED

This is easily done in full mission builder. add a single a/c as flight leade and give minm a path to follow.
then add 3 more in a different flight with different a/c and attach that flight to the first planes way points. they will then follow
the pre determined route for you.

Hi

Landing lights on in the daytime - Standard operating procedure on British military aircraft since the sixties. I wasn't around during WWII, but it was probably the same SOP.

If you are groundcrew, working on the airfield, traffic controller, aircraft on the taxiway or in circuit it's quite difficult to spot an aircraft on finals low against the horizon. But if that a/c turns on it's landing lights it's much easier to spot.

It isn't generally used by British civilian aeroplanes unless circumstance demands it - I once landed in a squall and putting on the landing lights, whilst not necessarily helping my vision, cetainly might have warned anyone around me of my presence on close finals. There was of course the incident in New Zealand when I forgot to turn them on landing at night - we landed okay, but a totally unaware aeroplane crossed the runway ahead of us! The pilot of the other aeroplane was dismissive though... I was a Pom, after all
