No Track IR in-game...Please help! - OPIEMK2 - 31.08.2009

All,

I have completely lost use of my TrackIR4 in-game. Does anyone have any ideas? Listed below is what I have done so far to try and address it:

-re-install of Track IR 4 twice after uninstalling it.

-complete deletion of my entire modded 1946 modded game folder and re-copied my entire un-modded folder, then re-did the mod via UI 1.1 with the patch.

I still have the same problem....the TrackIR4 unit itself works perfectly otherwise until I get in either game Modded or Slick version, then totally quits and I have to restart my computer in order to get it working again. I have downloaded and installed the most current patches from the TrackIR website.

The last mod that I installed was the P-26, but I still have the same problem even with only the UI mod installed.

I have not used my TrackIR4 much....it's less then 6 months old, and I haven't flown at all since the AAA server was shut down, other then when I found this problem this weekend. I'm at my wits end, I use the IL-2 profile that is in the software just as I have always done.

Please help!

I recall experiencing similar issues shortly after TIR released their latest software update a few weeks ago. I completely got rid of TrackIR 4 and installed TrackIR 5, and everything works well now. The version 5 software is free and is compatible with the version 4 camera.

That did it for me, anyway.

Try plugging it into a different USB port and listen for the da-dunk sound (for lack of better description) then try it, also make sure in your config.ini Trac-Ir use=1 and yes the latest software for 5 is stable and gives more functionality to the 4pro.

Did you try running the "_Switch-408_Mods_On_With_6DOF.bat" file? (if you're running the unified version of IL2)

I have also found that if I remove the Track IR folder from Mods & reinstall it ( from: (The link is inoperative)) that it works again!
