Lancasters and german dams - 617 Bomber - 04.09.2009

Due to the development of the british "heavies" a good idea would be to package them as one pack and have an auto installer.
But my request is for a plane mod or new plane to represent the lancasters of 617 dams raid with matching ordnance of the "bouncing bomb"(that might be me being ambitious here),the 60 ft converging landing lights, missing gun turret and bombsight(a block of wood with two nails in it).Also modified map to represent the german vallys, lakes ect with the dams as destroyable targets.(probably nigh on inpossable)

EDIT; if that lanc mod is released then i hope i can get the "tallboy" and "grandslam" bombs in the loadouts that way the attacks on the u-boat pens, v2 launch silos, v3 superguns and the attack on the tirpiz could be re-created in game with some accurcy. hopefully get some skins too with registration. (AJ if you did not know)(i missed out some raids like the factory raids where not one frenchman was to be harmmed or the viaduct raid when p-peter (p-popsie to the squadron) was badly dammaged)

well it seems that this project is being done on another site dident see anything about those maps though

if its a 617 lanc it needs a grand slam 22000lb bomb for sinking the tirpitz!

There is a Lancaster in the works over at RAF662 http://www.raf662.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28855. And magpie said that they would be Bouncing Bombs and Grand Slam's made for it as well.

it's looking pretty good but if it were to have bouncing bombs it needs to lose some fetures like the bomb bay doors, add struts for the bomb, removal of the upper gunners turret and a few less noticable changes

If you read the seventh post on the page, you will see that RAF Magpie clearly states that the Tallboy and Grand Slam earthquake bombs havebeen planned. And if you look at the sixth picture in the first post, you can see a Lancaster with it's bomb bay doors removed and what looks like a bouncing bomb in it's belly

they're very good at what they do. They've taken that into account. There will be special versions.
