Thoughts about QMB+ missions - fabianfred - 05.09.2009

after many years of building missions in the FMB I have only recently become interested in converting some of my best missions (Single/Coop) into QMB+ missions...
I have learned how to get them to work now......... and have found that.....
To allow people to download our QMB missions...and play them as we intended...with the correct a/c, numbers in a flight, loadouts, etc. then we must get the mission working to our satisfaction in the QMB...then save the .quick file
Then when we offer the QMB mission for download we must also add the accompanying .quick file to be put in their il2/Quicks folder.

If we fail to do this then when they select the mission type in QMB they will not know which plane types etc. to configure....
Later after playing the mission through how the author intended they can easily change a/c etc.

When we open the QMB all a/c are the default one which is the a/c at the top of the list in Air.ini
If the mission builder only intended us to be able to play on the map...then that is all...
... but if we are supposed to play a certain a/c and loadout and have certain a/c in the other slots how do we know what they are?

When we set up a mission in the QMB to our satisfaction...we can then save the set-up by pressing the save button and giving it a name...this will make a .quick file which is saved in the il2/Quicks folder.

Of course, if you are the mission author you know how it should be to play as you intended.... we cannot know how you intended the mission to be played without a .quick file to help us set it up correctly.

Well said, I agree with your thoughts on this.
