IL2 With Windows 7 - Flame - 08.09.2009

Hi All

I am thinking to replace my XP copy with Windows 7.

Do we have any computability issues so far with windows 7 in IL2?

Regards,

Flame

Yep, Works like a charm here too.... Only issue i had was it not displaying my laptops native screen resolution in the options... But, all i needed to do is edit the config file for the Resolution i wanted and that problem was fixed.

Can you give us a play by play on how to do this?

I am thinking that Win7 is now the way to go. Who else is on it??

I am. Been using Win7 RC 32 bit for quite a while, works smooth as silk.

FF5 and LOFC both run very well under Win7, so I'm about to give my long time favorite prp sim a go.

I'd be very interested in a 'how to' sort of installation guide for IL2, too.

Yes, I can not wait for Windows 7. I just bought a machine with Vista and it took me forever to get everything working right. I hear Windows 7 will fix alot of the problems I was dealing with when getting my rig setup for IL2...

How you install Hiperlobby in Windows7?

- Flame - 09.09.2009

The feedback i heard that Most of programs compatible with Vita will work normally on Windows 7.

I will install it and give you feedback Smile

Hi All

So far I installed windows 7, it looks very smoth and stable except I am getting the same issue as Vista for runing all programs as admistrator which affecting Hyperlobby.

I believe I solved this problem before but just need some time to take a look on the internet.

The only problem I am facing now with IL2 is displaying the corect scren resulotion.

GixxerJay or any one, do you know how to edit the resulotion in teh IL2 config file as I got 24 Inc monitor.

Flame

I have been running Windows 7 since the beta release and I love it - and I have my pre-order in for the release version. I completely avoided vista and went straight from xp pro to win7 64 bit - but like with vista just disable UAC, it is completely pointless.

And just 1 word of caution, be careful with registry cleaners - regcure broke my OS and I had to reinstall, I asume it has been updated now and that shouldn't be a problem but make sure whichever one you use is compatible with Windows 7.

I tested windows 7 and to be honest, it is way better then Vista.

But now I had to reinstall XP as I couldn't play IL2 fine on Windows 7, so I decided to wait until all comptabilities issues resolve then reinstall it back.

Other wise it is great OS and I expect to achieve great success to Microsoft.
