Stobe lights - eow_jones - 11.09.2009

Well last night i was flying around 20:00 and turned my nav lights on, and was thanking, i wonder if someone can make them flash, like a stobe light.

My X52 stick is programmed to make nav's flash off & on.

You can do it with a script, also, but then it's difficutl to stop it.

Salmo, what is the macro you used for that? Can you turn it on and off?

It's possible by macro on X-52 or by script in il2. By script in il2 will never stop and you must alt tab out of game to stop the flashing. By X-52 it just depends how many times you press the buttons....

go to profile editor, find a key you want then click on the right arrow thing and click on new advanced command. Then type whatever you want to call the command name in the command name box. Hit the il2 nav light button every 2 seconds for example in the "Press" box. Using a clock or stopwatch to make it more accurate may be useful. (Recommended that your il2 nav light button is 1 button for example "n" rather than "ctrl+n") Continue doing it at 2 second intervals until you think that it's flashed enough or you feel tired etc.... Now click ok and apply profile to joystick. Open IL2, and hit the button you set it on on the joystick and it will flash until the command runs out, then you can hit it again or leave it etc.... you won't be able to type in the chat bar during that as it will start inputting random letters when you try and type into it and it will also stop the flashing if the chat bar is open.

What Raptor said .... I just selected a convenient stick button, & recorded a macro that turns the nav lights off & on about 20 times (via my keypad nav control key).
