Strange Video Driver lock-ups. - admiralthrawn - 11.09.2009

In the past few days I've gotten a number of BSODs due to, IIRC, video driver freezes that could not be recovered from.

I believe this is occurring because I'm running TF2 in a low-power/resource usage mode almost 24/7, but wanted a second opinion, just in case.

You are playing TF2(team fortress)? me too!

I have had those crashes a week ago and i found that it was a bad stick of ram, maybe in your case it is the same cause

Download the ultimate boot CD and boot it. Then run the memory tests.

Where might I find this download?

Thanks. I'll get right on that.

All the memory is good.

I had the same issues, but in IL-2, up until about three weeks ago; then the video card just died. Heat was my culprit.

I don't think my cards are in any danger of melting, just yet. They're both younger than 6 months.
