hey fellas i just recently brought il 2 1946 for the first time and am absolutely loving it and I now wanna take it to the next level with mods. Im thinking I should start off with something to do with the BoB and it looks like canons channel map is the best for this but do i get campaigns with this or do i get them seperately??? and if i hav to get campaigns seperately do i then have to get aircraft like the spitfire which im guessing is gonna be a major part of any good BoB campaign seperately as well? So confusing lol. So if its all seperate could someone please point to the best campaigns and the best aircraft to download. North Africa is a possibliity in the future as well so if theres any info about what to download for that taht would be awesome too. thanks for bearing with my noobishness. and if this isnt in the right board where should i repost it?

Canon's Channel map is a hard map to install properly. Even though it looks great and is one of the best maps made in terms of effort, it would be better if you leave this particular map on hold for a while, until you get the hang of installing mods and maps and new aircraft.

Otherwise you will be in for a frustrating experience. There are many great maps to choose from, no dearth of maps at all. Install a few easy ones and then take it from there. Then look around here and on other sites what you can all find in terms of ready made missions.

Mission4Today and Flying Legends are 2 other sites that have many downloadable missions, aircraft skins and odds and ends.
