Hi every one, recently I noticed that the crash smoke of my IL2 game changed, the crash smoke became short and fat,I don't know which mod changed it, but I like the old one. So would you please tell me which eff file controls the crash smoke?
And also the gun smoke, the MG151 canon smoke became tiny , contrarily the MG108 and MG103 is too huge!! and the color is strange too.like the pictures show.

With so many smokes gunsmokes mods out there , it's pretty hard to guess who did it .
The most quick solution would be for you to find any mods that have smokes fire gunsmoke
weapon smoke included in name of mod and disabling renaming each at the time by using minus -
in front of the mod after each try and restarting game and trying again with mods disabling in question
until effect is gone , then you willl know exactly which mod is doing that and go with next steps from there .
Other than that , some other effects mods did touched effect file which tank cannon share with plane
cannon effect file , surprise for some but that's how some many of the effects files are shared ingame :lol:
Folks might have change tank firing blast smoke and giving the same effect to plane cannon firing without
having no idea .
Sometimes , it can be very frustrating working with effects .

I just tried and I don't have such effects .

MachineGun.eff ---> MG151 canon smoke

and almost gun smoke mod looks weird in ground

Hi!

crash smoke-->3Do/effects/Aircraft/BalackHeaveyGND.eff
crash fire-->3Do/effects/Aircraft/FireGND.eff

MG151 canon smoke-->effects/smokes/MachineGun.eff
MG151 canon muzzle flash-->3do/effects/Gunfire/12mm/Gunflare.eff

MG108 canon smoke-->effects/smokes/CannonTank.eff
MG103 canon smoke-->effects/smokes/MachineGun.eff

These are original effects file (not 100% sure about MG's ) but if you have installed ghost files armament mod, you will have difficulty to find the right class
file, that controls machine guns effects, you have to put (-) sign one by one and test to find right class
file! or disable whole armament mod.
