Objects not showing up in FMB - Hannable69 - 18.09.2009

Okay, I recently did a reinstall of the game, and this is the first time I've used UA 1.1. I've installed several object mods including LAL_fortifications, LAL_hangar, DLV_infantry and DLV_desert. The problem is that there are big gaps in the object list where the model doesn't seem to exist. The "Show" button is grayed out. What I don't understand is that these missing objects are in the "lower" number range, meaning they should be the stock objects that came with the game (which explains why a new map I tried had virtually no buildings). It's strange that only some of the stock objects are missing while others are there.

The only explanation is that I replaced the UA's static.ini with the one that came with AAA's Platinum Edition Effects Mod ... but I would've thought that AAA's static.ini would have all the "default" objects listed.

Any advice on how to fix the problem?

Edit: Okay I replaced the static.ini I have now with a slightly older one that I had in a back-up folder. This static.ini I know works, but still the same problem. However ... I noticed in both static.ini files that I suddenly had over 1500 entries when before I only had around 1300. Is it possible that all the objects are there, but there are simply "blank" entries that bumped some of the objects further down the list?

You'll probably find those objects are ground plates, and they don't show up in the QMB list. To test, select an object, place it on the map, go into 3D mode, and cycle through your objects using the PgUp/PgDn keys. Although they don't display in the list, you should see them on the map, and should be able to identify them this way.

Okay, yep ... I had the extra options for the FMB mod enabled which put those "ground plates" into the Objects menu. Now I know what's going on. Thanks!
