[MOD] Replacement Sounds for U.S. Guns and Cannons - UPDATED - Jiver - 21.09.2009

Hello all,

I put together this custom sound pack for all U.S. equipped guns and cannons in the game. It replaces the following sounds:

M2 AN .30 caliber Machine Gun
M2 AN .50 caliber Machine Gun
Hispano-Suiza 20mm Cannon
M4/M9 37mm Cannon
M4 75mm Cannon

I think you will find these sounds to have some real "authority", especially the .50 caliber and 37mm sounds! If you are disappointed with the default .50 cal sounds you really ought to give these a try! Big Grin

Note: I created the .30 and .50 caliber machine gun sounds from actual videos of the non-AN (aircraft/naval) weapons being fired and then edited the samples to increase the rate of fire to match the specs of the AN version of the weapons (1100 RPM for the .30 and 800 RPM for the .50). I think they really sound authentic!

UPDATE: I corrected a couple issues with the Hispano 20mm and the Browning .30 cal sounds. I also tweaked the other sounds slightly (ROF and volume). Please download again and install.

I just corrected a couple issues with the Hispano 20mm and the Browning .30 cal sounds. I also tweaked the other sounds slightly (ROF and volume). I just uploaded the new archive to Mediafire so please download again.

Well if you really want a US version of the Hispano then have it fire a couple of rounds and then jam Big Grin The US did take the gun to build on licence but they tried to modify it and just spent $$$$ and years buggering it up.
