1/32 F4F Wildcat - planecrazydale - 21.09.2009
Hi all!
Here are a couple of pics of my recently completed 1/32 Revell Wildcat.
I did a lot of scratch work on this one, including cutting and positioning most all of the control surfaces, lots of wiring and lines, cut open the panels for the ammunition, etc.

I usually work with 1:48 scale aircraft, but found this 1:32 one and thought it would be fun...which it was!
You can do tons of detail with a 1:32, but they do tend to take up a lot of shelf space!

My Colections! - Planemad - 21.09.2009
But with my 1:72 scale planes I have recreated the sky over South East England 1940-1941, thats right I have created the Battle of Britain In my Bedroom,

Great work Dale, looks beautiful.
Very nostalgic for me as I built a few Revel planes in my youth, though none of mine turned out that good.

Wow Planemad! Your room sounds very cool, but i don't think my wife would allow a Battle scene over our bed.....without creating a whole new battle in our home!!

And thanks for the kind words Neal. This kit was a re-issue of the old Revell kit, and was actually a pretty nice kit other than some fit issues.

Very nice weathering effects on this one planecrazydale
I also like the wingribs a lot. I should finish my Bf 110 G-2 1:48 someday.
Are you going to place it on some plate and create any scene with it? Like adding ground personal?
I always do that with my better planes and it really looks better than just the plane alone on a glassplate
cheers

Not sure if I am going to put it in a diorama type thing yet or not. The glass case it is in has 3 more of my big built kits in it, and it all lights up so it looks quite nice in the darkened room.
But, if I put it in a show I will most likely put it sitting on a carrier deck (made of popsicle sticks or some other type of wood planking)
