Just getting into making movies with IL2 and other engines.

I've read alot of stuff about using a mouse emulator for camera movement rather than using the mouse, for smoothness it appears. Which one is recommended and is there a tutorial or thread on how best to do this?
The Ubi Movie forum has become a ghost town.
