Ok, take this as a freindly warning.. you already know that we don't discuss the alteration of stock aircraft fm's.. considering your status already you are on very thin ice..

so because this guy wanted to create some star wars maps and *mentioned* using existing fm's to create a *new* plane he's skating on thin ice? i mean, wouldn't it be easier to use an existing fm to make a new airplane? isn't that what was done to make the sabre, f-84 and mig-15? i understand that there alot of checks and balances that go into approving a mod anyway so, what exactly is your problem?

Okay, let's be realistic here... The P-51H needs to be created from scratch for the game and should be in no way based off the P-51D. It requires new 3D, FM, pit, etc. Give the guy a break on the grounds of ignorance... He probably thought the P-51H is just a P-51D with a new engine, otherwise he would have mentioned the need for a totally new airframe. Also, give him a break on the banning issue. He did say that it would be the P-51H, i.e. new designation. Everyone can be really touchy here...

Yes, but he said it under the title of a request for a P-51H. I honestly don't think he meant let's take the stock P-51D-20NA in the sim and give it the flight model of a P-51H-5NA and not change anything else.

There is a P51H model but it needs refinement not to mention a new pit. The easy part is the FM and weapons.
Considering we are about to release 4 new 51's with more on the way I'd say the chances of an H at this time is slim to none. There is still much to do with shoring up what we had and making thing compatible with 409 official.
As you can see making a P51H at this time is slim unless of course someone wants to do the correct historical pit, 3d model with all hooks and LOD's as well as code it and test it to specs (100% bug and error free).
