Editing the map load ini - Jimdandy - 29.09.2009

Hello, i was just wonering if there is a way to edit or mod the map load ini to allow for darker night missions. I have been trying to run some night missions on the KTO map but the ambient light is to bright, after speaking with Dixiecapt he suggested I ask here, so is there a way to mod or edit the map ini file to remove or darken the ambient light in the night sky. I have treid evry setting possible in the fmb from clouds to time and there is still to much light. I looked thru the map load ini and only found one entry
[LIGHT]
LandLight = LandLight.mat
CloudShadows = CloudShadows.mat
Any help in making a darker night sky on the KTO would be greatly appr.~S

Under [WORLDPOS] is a setting called DECLIN. Change the number next to it to a lower value like 5 or 1. Heres what I had for the English Channel Beta.

[WORLDPOS]
CAMOUFLAGE = ETO
MONTH=7
DECLIN = 5
PRESSURE = 745
TEMPERATURE = 18

I do have one other question I did change the declin to 5 beautiful night sky but when i hosted no one else could see the night sky shouldn't the server send that info to all in the mission. Is there something in the mis file I need to edit so everyone in the mission see's the same sky.

As far as I know the effect is client side only. Other people will only see what you see if they have edited their map load ini in the same way you have. I dont think there is anything you can change in the mission to adjust the level of darkness.
