ALOTEF'S art thread. - ALOTEF - 02.10.2009
Hello all, and welcome to my art thread. Here I will post all my images, so I dont need to make thousands of new threads.
First, some newbies.
262's at 12 Oclock! This was originally PNG, but for some reason, it turned into a BMP, making it 2MB large! This one is another compilation shot, using 3 shots of the same 262.
I love the BF109Z, simply because it looks so deadly. They really are a great set of twins, eh?
This one is not meant to be historically accurate, but just a bit of fun. I was watching a spaghetti western, where some cowboy could shoot at cards that were thrown in the air, and hit firectly in the middle of the symbol. I tried it out here just for a little fun. Basically 2 shots of the same 109, but one is just the engine cowling. Notice the great big dirty hole in the middle of that ace of spades.
Thats all for my new ones. Here are some of my older ones.
First, 'Diver', a compilation of about 6 different images, fused using MS Paint.
A moonlight messerschmitt.
And finally, 'the last chance'.
I hope you enjoy these. Im sorry for the repetetiveness, but I just want to string all my shots together into the one thread.
All comments are welcome and greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Mike.

Dude!!! Where did you get the me 109Z skin from? It's awesome!!!

@cnopicilin Thanks mate!
@snailsave11 The skin can be found at cannon's IL2 skins. It is a BF-109G10 skin. When you plonk it into the 109Z folder, it comes out just like this.

Yes the BF109Z is my fav!
New images! - ALOTEF - 03.10.2009
Hello all!
After 7 hours of work, I'd like to introduce to you my favorite finished screenies. First of all, my absolute favorite, and I consider it to be my best ever. 'Destroyer.' Here is an un-captioned version, a captioned version, and a desktop version.
Focke-Wulf 'Green 4' on startup.
A more emotional touch now, with the Ohka piloted bomb. This is an authentic quote.
The sun is setting....
Spitfire summer.
True beauty is a spitfire.
This is a postcard version, with a poem I thought up the other night.
Wingman!
I have put so much work into these (maybe a little too much
) and Id love to see some comments and criticisms.
Enjoy these,
Mike.

I dont care if what you have to say is negative. I want to hear at least some sort of criticism.
Thanks Moggy.
Im not bitching or anything. Just, its kind of a slap in the face when you don't get any comments any time soon. But thanks for your honesty, Pha3e, and thanks for sticking in there, Moggy.

nice pics
I like your use of bordering with the wing over lapping it.
I'm only critical of the spitfire, not your work. I think its ugly..

hmm, my post epic'ly failed to go up this morning. Drat.
Mate, do stuff like this if you enjoy doing it, or viewing the results yourself. That way, the time and effort is justified already. Sometimes, peoples' responses are great, y'know, pages of encouragement, other times people just won't post. It's disheartening, but don't give up.
Also bear in mind that most people will hit the new threads scrolling down the home page, so if they miss it there, they may not otherwise find cause to visit the screeny forums. I used to do that before i started reading every new post under the sun when i was a moderator.. Well, anyway, I like the shots, though i reckon a few of them are a bit "heavy" if you can kinda see what i'm getting at. Like the japanese craft with the pink backdrops. Nice shots, but a bit heavy. I'd love to be more specific, though i'm no artist so i'm not sure i can describe it better at the moment.

Great work ALOTEF.
Phas3e is right, most people won't say anything. But do know that I'm sure there are lots of us who are checking your thread for updates
I really like the Ace of Spades shot, cool idea
