Question about 4.09M and Mods! - COBRA19 - 06.10.2009

Hi everyone Smile
i have Question about 4.09M and Mods.
Is it possible to combine 4.09m patch with mods ?
Or is there any progress about this?

- F22-Raptor-2006 - 06.10.2009

Hi if you want to run the new full 4.09m with mods I suggest that first you install a new copy of your game in a seperate location from where your current modded game is. Then patch it up to the new 4.09m. Then you will need to go here: http://specialaircraftservice.com/sas/i ... 008.0.html and download the mod activator for the new 409 patch for clean installs. Then pretty much all mods should work on 409 as they would normally in 408. Some mods that edit core files may not work such as some of the mods by Fireball etc... just have to see what works.

Yes, it's possible, but you need SAS buttons (not kosher for online use), and edit some .ini files.
There are some posts around the forum with instructions, but I can't find them at the moment...a post by Birdman seemed to be the most complete one:

I updated my instructions to include those compatibility fixes that have been found after my post.

I have a heavily modded version of 4.09b1m and don't want to screw it up. Is it possible to extract the SM79 from the new patch and add it to the version I'm running?

I'm waiting until the UI includes 4.09.
