What are the new QMB features in the official 4.09 patch? - bohr-r - 06.10.2009
Hello All,
The title says it all, I was wondering about the new QMB features in the 4.09 patch. Could anybody who already installed and used the new patch please let me know whether these new features make for an improvement over QMB plus?
Because the new official patch is technically not really a mod, I didn't quite know where to post this, but here. If it's not the right section, administrators, please feel free to move my post.

You now have expanded choices for the altitudes of clouds, mission height and situation differential. In addition you now have the ability to put in a custom altitude for clouds and mission height as well as differential altitude . Just click the box and put in the numbers you would like.
There is also a feature ( the 'Pos.' button) that put you directly behind the enemy ('A'=Advantage) or them directly behind you ('D'=Disadvantage). 'N' is the original setting where the enemy comes at you from a distance.
Also new maps (stock game) were added as well as a "Scramble" setting for "Target".
Hope that explains it a bit.

Thank you, Boris, it does. I haven't installed the new patch yet. I would like to wait a little until more of the compatibility issues between 4.09 and mods have been sorted out. My game has become quite laggy as it is lately anyway. I need to try to fix that (or perhaps simply get a new machine?
). It'll be a while before that is going to happen, though.

If you download the 4.09 pdf manual, it has a detailed description of the QMB changes, complete with screenshots.
