4.09 MTO texture name change - viking4570 - 09.10.2009
MTO_lowland_3 has been renamed MTO_lowland_3_Fields in the 4.09 final - so any map that uses this texture will not work if you upgrade to 4.09 and don't have the original in your _tex\land\summer path in your mods folder. Or you can edit the load.ini of these maps to add _Fields to the name of the texture to get them to load. This affects my El Alamein map, CAL Zimbotho, and the Lybia map., AFAIK. Many thanks to RAF74_Bimmer, Birdman, and Malone at the SAS for sussing this out.

Are you going to be issuing a revised map that now uses the new 4.09 map name change ???

I don't have one of those 3 maps so can't test it but why not making a copy of texture MTO_lowland_3_Fields and rename it MTO_lowland_3?
In that case you don't have to edit at least 3 load.ini's.

Hi mate.. was that original texture your design, and if so why on earth was it renamed for 4.09? wasn't it realised that it would cause a dilemma?..

It was renamed so that there could be 3D trees on the map when the texture loads. If you rename the texture, you lose the associated .tree.tga file and the 3D trees in the game.
So its either up to you to edit the load.ini's that contain the entry, or duplicate and rename the texture to your _tex folder.
