New P-38s Don't Load - Pooch - 14.10.2009

The 1.2 installer is working great except for the new Lightnings. Every other plane works fine, but when I choose one of the early P-38s, the QMB mission loads all the way to 100% , then says mission null. Does this make any sense. I would figure I probably messed something up, but since it's only one plane, something is very strange.

One reason for that type of error is indicative of a missing engine or incorrect reference in FM to the same. Make sure you are using the correct buttons file.

If you installed the 1.2 and you had any corrupted file message when you extracted you must download again, sorry. Don't worry about buttons files they have nothing to do with this install, all you need is included in the 1.2.

I unpacked 1.2 using RAR and saw that there was corruption in the P38 files in 01 so redownloaded and it cleared only to have corruption in one of the sound files. No big deal. Solved that.

Anyone having issues with part or tga of planes not showing


To verify your download (From AH_Prop)
Open the .exe with winrar and hit test, it will go through all the subsequent files and test them

If you get a bad download please download again

Well, I've gone ahead and tried this three times from three different mirrors. Corrupt files every time. I'm about , done, I think. I'll use it the way it is.

yes.. I've downloaded three times now and still keep getting the corrupt files error message.. checked with winrar using the 'test' function and its telling me the burma lower readme is corrupt.. the game however seems to play ok.
