How to change a stationary plane's name - crazydog - 17.10.2009

I found one of my stationary plane, the I-16type18 have a wrong name which is "plane", I want to change it back to I-16type18, so what should I do?

hi
open your plane_ru.properties file, and find the entry for the I-16type18.
You either have the wrong entry, or possibly no entry.
The entry should look like this:
I-16type18_______I-16 Type 18, 1939
in your case, it probably looks like this:
I-16type18_______Plane
**the underscores do not appear in the file, I've just put them in to make it clearer for you. :wink:

The name that a plane shows ingame will ALWAYS be the same as the second part of the plane_ru.properties.

thank you but I have checked it already, it is "I-16type18_______I-16 Type 18, 1939", and it has the right name in QMB

oops...sorry mate......thats what happens when I don't read properly! :roll:
For a stationary plane, you'll have to find the entry in your stationary.ini file.
the entry normally should look like this:
I_16TYPE18_______vehicles.planes.Plane$I_16TYPE18_______1
Double check that yours is the same, possibly the last bit from the $ sign onward is missing?

Sorry mate, it is my fault
I had installed the I-16type18 before, but for the 4.09m I deleted it and forgot to delete the line in plane_ru， what strange is the plane still appear in the FMB.
Anyway, after delete the lines in plane_ru, stationary.ini and technics.ini, the "plane" gone :wink:
