Cannot Take Off anymore ????? - DarkMasta - 24.10.2009

Hi guys,

After installing the Unified version of the mods, I cannot take off anymore :S

I tried both Off and On settings for taking off from the airfield, but I keep spawning in mid air ..

What is the problem ?

What game are you playing? QMB - FMB or one of others in game?

Playing IL2 Sturmovik 1946, v4.08m -- Steam version

Yes IL-2 but where does this happen. Quick mission builder- Full mission builder -Pilot Career- or the Single Missions?

Check prop pitch if you work on CEM (complex engine management) in prefs.

I had that set and I was wondering what the world was happening with my RPM's.

Checking that gave me the forward motion I wanted

You may have had the "Difficulty" settings corrupted or changed in your game.

Load a mission up and at the bottom in the middle of the screen click the "difficulty" Icon, then next load screen in the lower right corner click the "next" Icon.

Upper right corner make sure that "take off and landings " is on(light is on).You should now be forced to take off on missions with T.O.'s
I f the light is off ,then you will be forced to air-start on missions with take off's.

Thanks for the replies guys

I cannot do anything at the moment ... My IL2 fails to start now from a mod I downloaded here (The link is inoperative)

Sadly I couldnt uninstall it so I just deleted the whole game, I will check again after I re-install the game.

Oh and im not trying to play singleplayer, it works fine with singleplayer, im playing in QuckMission Builder.

I doubt it was because of the mod your game crashed or crashes...
It would have more to do with not installing the mod correctly most likely!

One must read and reread as well as follow all instructions carefully in order to have a successful install :wink:

What I suggested is in all missions whether in Campaign ,Dogfight,Coop,Single or the QMB,in any mission just before you click fly you can change the difficulty settings and like I mentioned if the light is "not on" on the take off and landings Icon you will always air-start in any and all mission in IL-2 in all categories.

Yeah perhaps you're right

But im sure it is turned on before I start every mission !
I tried playing with all settings before posting here
But maybe there is something I missed ..
Regarding the switch for "takeoff", im sure it is on

DarkMasta, I think the cause is that when playing a quick mission You always spawn midair, there's no takeoff....anybody correct me if I'm wrong...
