YES!!! OMG I WANT!! but i dont have il2 yet Cry

OMG thank you sir!!! I love the spitfire, and making a MK XVI is amazing. To my Knowledge, it performed a lot like the MK IX. The main difference was that it had a Packard Merlin (266 I think) and bubble canopy standard....so in theory the FM should be pretty close to a MK IX. I'm not sure if it used the 25 lbs of boost like the LF MK IX (When there was 150 octane fuel) with the Merlin 66 but the Packard Merlin 266 was a slightly modified Merlin 66( Packard Merlin was metric)...so its possible. Also having the bubble canopy should probably make it also more aerodynamic therefore slightly faster.

Thanks again!!

From what I've read, the latest Mark Spit to see combat was the XVI...

I think you are correct.

The XVI was essentially a Mk IX with a Packard produced Merlin 66 engine, (Named 266, because they required different tooling since they were made in USA) and it was also optimized for low altitude fighting. (The engine was optimized for low altitude operation.) The majority of the 1,053 produced XVI's had clipped wings.. Early models featured the "C" wing with 4x .303 cal and 2x 20mm hispano, or 4x20mm hispano (dont know if they ever installed 4 cannons, but it was an option at least) later models got the "E" wing with 2x20mm hispanos and 2x .50cal Browning AN/M2's inboard of the hispanos. Some models also featured the modified fuselage with a bubble canopy..

Are we only going to see the bubble canopy version, or will we get the razorback version as well?
What about clipped wings? The majority had clipped wings for improved roll rate, will we get that version?
