Eratic Sounds in Cockpit View - OC-Cougar - 26.10.2009

Lately in cockpit view with my Logitech USB headphones on, the sounds often only come through in one ear, flicking left or right intermitently. But when in fly-by it is in proper stereo coming out clearly in both ears. In Team Speak there is no problem. And in any other program, the headphones work fine, so the problem seems to be an IL-2 thing. Any ideas??

That's been happening to me for a while and I have no idea either, sorry. But we are in the same boat.

have you tried messing with Il2set.exe, under the Sound tab?

I would check and make sure you have headphones selected, and also play with the different sound settings under 3d engine mode.
I only getting phasing from right to left on the higher end frequencies but using 'default' under the 3d engine settings that doesn't happen.

Well Bill, you are a God's send. I went into the IL-2 setup file as you suggested. Although I did have "Heaphones" selected under the "Sound" Tab, my 3-D engine mode was set at "Balanced". I changed this to "Default" setting (as you suggested) and then took my P-40 and Spitfire for a spin. Well what a difference. Much appreciated Bill.
And 'Laughterislost', give it a go with hopefully the same results.

Cheers,

That did the trick as well. Thanks, BillSwagger.
