My F-51 is messed up - CPS.fraggmann - 27.10.2009

The F-51 in my game doesn't work. It loads.. but when the game starts all I get is a screen with upper half clear sky and the bottom half bare ground. I must T/M out and start again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Are you using the stock 1.1 + 1.2

Your problem is your cockpit is not loading or you have a conflict with another mod. Do you have several P51 cockpit mods in your Mods folder? Are they activated? If you do, rename the folder and put a - in front. This will prevent the mod from being recognized, then load the game and see if you are now in the cockpit.

That's also the symptom of flying a mission that has no aircraft selected as "player."

I looked in the Mods folder and found no P-51 cockpit mods, other than the ones that came with 1.2. I do have a few mods after 1.2

if the cockpit is faulty then generally you will just not be able to control your aircraft, what you describe is normally a problem with the mission file.

Well it maybe what Salty54 said. It happens also with B-29 and B-29 Silverplate sometimes (most times the cockpit loads fine only a few times game behaved like described above). After picking another aircraft and then returning to B-29 (without restarting the game) the pit loads. It was so since I installed UI1.1.

And it happens in QMB, so the problem with mission file is not likely.

However I never noticed it with any other aircraft in game.
