Quick Question - highlander_262 - 30.10.2009
Hi, just a quick question. Did the US Military in Korea still use the same equipment as used in WWII. Can't find any figures of Korean Theatre US but photos look similar if not the same. Just after verification as I hate modifying plastic figures.

For the most part yes, this means actual weaponry. Yes there were new weapons introduced such as the m2 carbine. The Thompson was still in use, m1 garand (all the way to vietanm), sherman still used. More tank destoyers, and this was the war when jets became into full production such as the F86, F80, F84, F924 Panther, and even the first medical helicpoters to be used by the United states military. The F4 Corsiar, Later versions of the p51 (f51). But since they was only a fews years after ww2, a good amount of the equipment was the same, or just a newer model.

Woops My bad
But you get the general picture. There are quite a few ww2 websites with KTO refrences, try looking there.

For the most part, infantry, artillery and armored units fielded the same equipment and uniforms they had in 1944-45, but there were some significant additions. Here is a Wikipedia listing of weapons used during the Korean War.
