Rear-view image in lower left - Plantoid 1 - 02.11.2009

Hi all:

Need some help here.

I've finally put my new rig together and have a flickering image in the lower left of the screen where the speed bar is - in fact it's the exact size of the speed bar area. It's as though I'm turned right around in my seat and viewing straight back.

Here's the hardware:

Intel i7 920
EVGA X58 3X SLI motherboard
BFG GTX 285 - just one
6 gig of Kingston 1333 triple channel RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64

I've brought this game intact from my old equipment and so the conf.ini file is still set up for the Ati card I was running at the time.

The hardware configuration is straight stock for now except for increasing the RAM speed from the default 1056? to 1333.

This is the first of what will probably be many questions as I work my way through the hardware configurations.

Has anyone any idea about this?

Thanks in advance.

Great days all.

edit:

This image, I have just found, is in fact the mirror on the canopy bow but viewed as though I was sitting higher in the cockpit.

Also, when I either open the canopy or delete the mirror through the game, the image goes away and is replaced by a similar sizes black rectangle that flashes slower - about once a second or slightly less.

Does this help?

Great days all.
