S-328 as Fokker C.VE - Mission_bug - 04.11.2009
I've not skinned anything for a while and decided seeing as the flyable types for the final 409 had been
done I'd try one of the AI types.
I thought the S-328 had quite a striking resemblance to the Fokker C.CV so here is a work in progress
of the type.
Here is the hack for a Fokker C.CV of the Finnish Air Force.
This particular aircraft FO-77 was issued to LLv 14 and is shown here as it looked in August 1938.
By the start of WW II the C.CV was virtually obsolete as an army co-operation aircraft.
The S-328 could also stand in for the Hawker Hart and possibly the Fokker C.X so there are quite
a variety of skin opportunities for the aircraft.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Nice plane and skin BUT the REAR gunner is the wrong way round!

I think the gunner is just doing some Navigating back there....
or he is just hanging on for dear Mercy...

The more skins for this aircraft the better ... it's a wonderful addition to the list

Love the skin, anything Finnish gets a from me. BTW, I believe the gunner/navigator turns back around when an enemy aircraft shows up so he can blast them with the twin .30 cals!!!

Thanks for the comments everyone, glad you like the skin. That gunner looks a bit suspicious to me,
looks like he's about to bolt at the first sign of trouble.
I've finished all the lines and bits and pieces now so I can move on to try and bring the
skins a little more to life, not very good at the weathering thingy but will give it a go.
Here is the S-328 trying its best to look like a Fokker C.X, could do with the nose from the D.XXI
though me thinks.
The pattern needs a little adjustment , but you get the idea.
I still need to add the yellow theatre markings.
And also the aircraft codes.
wishing you all the very best, Pete.

The skin is progressing now at a pace, here are shots of the state of play.
The pattern on the C.X is now complete and the theatre markings and code have been added.
S-328 in the guise of Fokker C.X FK-99 in the later war scheme.
This shot of FO-77 shows the fabric detail coming on and the rivets and panel lines done.
S-328 as Fokker C.VE in the Brown scheme used on aircraft built by Fokker.
This last shot shows the all Green scheme that was used on aircraft built under licence in finland.
S-328 as Fokker C.VE FO-68. The photograph I have of this aircraft shows it in a winter disruptive
scheme of White over Green, if i can find more pictures of that particular aircraft in the disruptive
camouflage pattern I will include it in the skin pack.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Just a few shots to show you how the skin is progressing.
This is FK-99 more or less finished.
The rivet detail is done and moderate weathering added.
Shadows have been added also.
Just need to add these features to the other skins and do FO-68 with a white disruptive
scheme when I can find more details of it.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Glad you like it KG64_Cnopicillin, the skins should be available at M4T along with my other Finnish skins in about a week.
Just tweaking a few things.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Thanks. They fit the theme, its 70th anniversary of winter war this year.
- Mission_bug - 25.11.2009
This is the last skin for the pack.
S-328 as Fokker C.VE FO-68 in February 1940 winter camouflage.
The scheme is from a photograph I have in one of my references.
Unfortunately I only have one side view, starboard, so the rest is artistic license.
The set is almost complete and will be uploaded for approval at M4T possibly tomorow.
All the best, Pete.
