Help with Screenshots - Oscarito - 04.11.2009

Hi!

I'd like very much to save screenshots from my flights and sending them to my friends, using them as screen savers and sharing them with you but, ...how can I save screenshots?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge!

Thanks in advance!

First do you have a screen capture program?
If not here is a free one, Its not the best in the world but it works.

MAke a temp folder on your C:\Pitcures and save them there.
Hope this helps

There is no need for any external tool (however you can still use some, as it possibly has some additional functionality).

The game itself saves screenshots in its main folder as *.tga files. All you need to do is hit PrintScreen button on your keyboard 8)

as kstoff said, the game saves them in its root as tga files, named grab0000/1/2/3....tga.
Something to remember, if you exit the game and then start it again, any new screenshots you take will use the same naming convention, and overwrite the previous ones. To avoid this, either remove/rename your screens as somehting else before taking a new set of screenshots.

You can do as stated above, another option is to grab QTim's mod that puts your screenshots in jpeg format, with date/timestamp...no need then to move/rename files, just carry on snapping away. Big Grin

Hi All, about this subject of taking screenshots now.... I am playing 1946 on Steam. and when I try to take a screenshot, it just takes a pic of my desktop background, and not my actual ingame footage. Does anyone know a Steam alternative? Ive looked in the flight control panel, but they dont have a designated screenshot keyboard reference. All Help on this would be much appreciated. thx Big Grin
