plane check - 57thgrp - 05.11.2009

After joining a game and picking a plane i would get a PLANE CHECK FAILED (TIMEOUT2) message and then would be kicked from the game. I love to fly the Spit and would only then be kicked if i chose that plane. Does not matter what Spit i choose i still get kicked. No problem with other planes just the Spit. Dont get it!!!. Does anyone have any idea's what the heck is going on here. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem using the P-47 online and it was caused by some incompatibilities with in my cockpit mods. I would start with the Spit cockpits or if you are using a gunsite/reticle mods look to make sure there aren't any lingering or duplicated Hash/Java files that also exist in another file.

For example:

Cockpit mod: has java files that meet crt -2 standards

reticle mod: includes the same java files, however not recognized by crt=2.

The way the sim loads these mods may not recognize the java files until after the plane loads in a game.

I had to cut and paste between three mod folders to use a custom P-47 cockpit, using the mesh files of Ponchos P-47 cockpit mod, the ironsite alignment mod folder, and the NWD gunsites.

Hopefully, i haven't lost you here, but check the mods folders for these issues.
