Can't join some servers with UI1.2? - Speckled Jim - 17.11.2009

Hi all-

I'm unable to join SOV or UKD2 servers with my UI1.2 install. My downloads passed the integrity check; game works fine offline (except that when I view my plane in F2 view the cockpit is invisble, possibly a related bug?); and I am able to join WOP servers (4.09b1m, full switch). SOV and UK2 are 4.08 with extrnals enabled. When I try to join, after using the switcher to go to 4.08 + 6DOF, I get the UI1.2 4.08m spash screen and load up to 100% but then get an error message saying "failure to connect: server uses a different version (4.08m)"

My 1.1 install works fine on these servers. And they say they are 1.2 compatible. Any ideas? Corrupt download, even though everything else works?

I have the same problem,not sure why :???:

I know from when I unpacked the 1.2 files to check them when I was trying to join spits vs 109s mods and couldn't get in I had quiet a few corrupt files in there(about 20) maybe this has something to do with it,I just use an older install for it now(althoug I still cant get into spits v 109s) ,I always keep the older install till I'm sure everything works for these kinds of going on's
I would love to know if some knows anything for sure though.

Are you running the correct version of ZUTI DSMod for those server, or no DSMod at all?
(I have no idea what version those server run, but you need to run same as server, or none, if that's the case, or you will get an error similar to that)

You got it, Bulau. I just put a "-" in front of "01_Zuti_DSMod_v0.8_RC3.5" in the MODS folder, and I was able to join those 2 servers. Never would've guessed.

Skarden, it sounds like you may need to re-download and re-install 1.2. A lot of people got corrupt downloads; I had to download twice.

You need to have the exact correct install to get on there (worth it as they are among the best servers IMHO).
They host a UI1.2 mirror, which is where I got my non-corrupt version: http://www.warbirdsofprey.org/modules.p ... load&cid=9
