Cannot join any hyperlobby servers - Cupid Stunt - 25.11.2009

Hi

I have recently taken delivery of my full version of Windows 7 and so have had to re-install the OS.

I have installed IL2 and patched it to 4.08m and then installed the AAA unified installers, both 1.1 and 1.2.

However, I am now unable to connect to any servers on hyperlobby as I get the message, "the server uses a different version of the game (4.08)"

Of course I have used the version switcher to change the game to 4.08, before I try to connect.

Would anyone be able to help me?

I was going to have a look on the hyperlobby forums but they are down.
Many thanks

Hi, you have to disable zutis mod to get on to many servers. ( its right at the top of your mods folder)

When I've helped a friend use HL with Windows 7 - Razgriz_37 - 25.11.2009

Ok, I think the game is still switch to 4.09b1m

at least from when I had a friend trying to get into a game.
Her game was not switched to 4.08m, we had to launch the game first and then close down; I think by default the game is set to 4.09b1m.

Then we tried the switcher, that seem to have worked. This also happened to me when I first installed the UI I 1.1.

If that wasn't it then it was something about the Microsoft Net Framework or something that the switchers didn't work. Or I think you had to have administrative permission.

One of these was the culprit.

Hey guys, many, many thanks I am now in. It may have been changing the underscore to a hyphen in front of that mod.

I love you all!

Oh! The simplest things eh, no problem.
