Sorry to need to ask how to do this, but to capture the moment I must... There is a diorama I am planning, I need to have a dead German soldier in front of the defensive line. How can I get/make a wooded/dead soldier. The plan I have for this is to have a hanomag at one side of the road, with troops dismounting/advancing upon a large wrecked shed, with a Russian Maxim heavy machine gun and at rifle crew, and other troops. the Germans will be advancing across a road and tree line, and I think that for realism sake some fallen troops I by the road. This will be 1/35

Take a "live" model soldier (even if it has a rifle in hands..) and take a cutter (be careful managing it..) now WITH ATTENTION AND PACIENCE start to cut arms, legs, hand-guns etc..etc.. Now re-assembling every body part with a specific glue in the new "dead" position you want to achieve. Note: yu can use some putty to cover possible little holes in assembling zones before painting the model. Regards.

You can also bend the figurine to your desired shape by adding heat slowly, but be careful not to light you or your house on fire.

How should i heat the limbs? Wont a flame melt off detail?

Hold it just close enough to the flame to get it warm enough to move don't try to melt it,you will be able to tell when it's warm enough the plastic will start to move with a little pressure.Oh and don't try and bend it to fast or the plastic will break.
