Advice Requested for New Router (Hardwired) - Wildwilliam - 02.12.2009
Looking to have to replace my router mine is an older model Linksys (4 port)
which I believe is acting up when connected to 3 computers.
only one will work at high speed the other two take forever to load. and are very sluggish.
If I reconnect individually directly to internet everything is normal.
Which leads me to think problem with router cant figure out what though.
would a new router help and if so can anyone recomend a good router for gaming.
Thanks in advance for input any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have to keep the other half happy as she also plays Games online as well.

Linksys routers are generally pretty good but you may need to upgrade your firmware and you didn't mention which model it is, I have a WRT54G wireless and all the computers hooked up to it even the wireless connections are pretty fast. Here is some basic info for you

Thank you FA_Bong
I had tried all upgradable software nothing worked,
Got ticked off and bought A new one everything works like a dam.
although I have never seen a router that half way worked looks like that was problem
must have gotten old like me and worn out.
by the way it was just a cheap off shore model that I purchased
