Hi,
It sounds like you need to forward your ports. You can find out how to do that here:
http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm
Scroll down until you find your router in the list, then follow the instructions.
I can't remember what ports you need to forward, its been a very long time since I last had to. Can someone else please confirm?

Yep you need to port forward to 21000. Your cable company can help.

Ok this makes sense now, I used to have hat problem but not since I got a new computer. I'd always wondered what caused this...

may be your ip is that of the router, it should be from your comp, go to your router setting and clone your mac address.................. your ip shoud be the one from your computer not the router, i had the same problem

As you can tell, this is a fairly easy fix. There are a few more ports and things to do besides 21000 though.
First I need to know what router you're using.
What kind of DSL/Cable modem are you using?
Is the Modem also working as a router or are you using a stand-alone router in series with the modem?
These are things most people don't think to ask, but they will cause you HUGE headaches if you don't know how to work around them.
