Hs-123A Skins - Poltava - 14.12.2009

After starting with HSFX 4.1 I have (of course) now begun a Legion Condor campaign for the Spanish Civil War.

You start flying the Hs-123A, in its ground support role, later switching to the Bf109B.

Does anyone know where I can find SCW skins for this aircraft? The Legion Condor three-colour splinter camo (see below) is both spectacular and characteristic, and badly needed for my campaign!

Zeppo had posted some beautiful skins for Hs 123 at SAS site, but now they removed their skins section; you could always ask for a link

I'm very happy you're working on a SCW scenario, that war never gets enough attention. should be great fun.

May I ask what your references are? I'm interested in any books on the subject.

Here are a few very profusely color illustrated books which contain a large number of profiles. I can vouch for them all and have used these books as reference for skins as well. Should you need ISBN numbers, just ask or pm.

this is the best buy - inexpensive but full of color profiles - no photos, just color illustrations

no preview of this book, but it is beautifully illustrated with photos and color profiles of the Spanish Air Force immediately after the SCW, from 1940-45. But still great source of info and profiles

this is volume 1 of a 6 volume encyclopedia of Spanish Air Force. First class publication with many many color profiles and photos. Volumes 1 and 2 concern SCW

I can wait... Big Grin

I took a closer look and realized that the whole skin pack now has 377 Mbs... Big Grin

I'v made that skin for the CR42 times ago... i can convert it to Hs123 if someone sent me an HS123 void file, so i can see where's located the engine cowling, the undercarriage and the tail fin in the HS123 skin file. (too lazy to map it myself atm).

- Poltava - 19.12.2009

Barkhorn!

That would be great! The only Hs123 skin (for the MOD aircraft) I've found is too pristine, and there is also something wrong with the mapping, as parts of the fuselage marking ends up,,, on the rudder!

I have one but with some problems, because the boid is for the CR42, Look this picture and if you like it, say me. Of course Is a WIP
