New music is doing a screeching noises - Chappi - 16.12.2009

Hey there.
I need some help with importing modern warfare 2 music into IL2.
The problem is that I'm completely lost with the formats.
I've seen that IL needs a .wav with mp3 compression, I think it is - I'm using a sort of small program that allows you to process a file, and rip that .wav file to .mp3

The good news is that all tracks play in correct order and for correct ammount of time.
But the most annoying problem is that in most intense moments the sound of the music screaches like hell, and it is less noticeable when choosing higher kbps value. I've heard that the .wav must be 192.
I'm saving the stuff as mp3 file then processing it via that little helper program, and with highest kbps - 320 - the scratches are almost non noticeable, but still.
I think I'm doing something wrong or I missed a point, could anyone point me in the right direction?
I can't save directly as .wav with mp3 compression - I'm using Audacity and there's no such option.

Thanks a bunch.
